Most women desire a shapely, voluminous butt. However, age, genetics, childbirth, and significant weight loss, can all cause the buttock region to droop, sag, or flatten despite one’s sincere attempts to reverse these effects through diet and exercise. The good news is that a Brazilian butt lift from Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery can increase the volume of your butt and help you achieve a fuller, rounder, and sexier figure. Read on to learn more about our highly regarded Brazilian Butt Lift procedure in Bellevue.
A BBL, otherwise known as a Brazilian Butt Lift, is a plastic surgery procedure where fat is extracted from the various areas of the body (abdomen, back, thighs, hips) and then transferred to the buttocks. This specialized fat transfer procedure is appealing to many of our patients here at Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery, as it uses one’s natural tissues and not artificial implants.
Anyone unhappy with their buttock’s size, shape, or prominence is a great candidate for BBL surgery. This is especially true for individuals who have already tried other ways to increase buttock volume through diet, exercise, or temporary fillers. We also recommend BBL surgery for anyone of an older age experiencing significant sagging, poor skin quality, or loss of elasticity in the buttock area.
Additionally, it is an ideal procedure for anyone who wants to lose excess fat in their waist, stomach, hips, or thighs in addition to enhancing their butt. A BBL surgery is perfect because it addresses two issues within one procedure – you can achieve a larger, more voluminous butt while also slimming down your stomach, waist, and thighs.
You’ll experience the following benefits after undergoing a BBL surgery with board-certified surgeon Dr. Kris Day here at Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery:
Before your BBL in Bellevue with Dr. Kris Day, you’ll have multiple pre-operative appointments. This is when Dr. Day will get to know what you are looking for regarding size and shape, discuss before and after photos, and talk about the surgical experience and healing process. Dr. Day will also examine your butt, hips, thighs, and abdomen region to anticipate where he will transfer the fat from.
After walking you through the procedure from start to finish and explaining all risk factors, Dr. Day will schedule your BBL here at our surgery center in Bellevue. Prior to the surgery, you’ll be given any necessary medications and advised on what to avoid. If you smoke, we ask that you stop a minimum of four weeks before and after the procedure.
Following your Brazilian butt lift Surgery, Dr. Kris Day and our team will provide you with detailed recovery instructions and schedule follow-up appointments in our Bellevue office to ensure you heal correctly. We advise that you have a close friend or family member drive you to and from the procedure and stay with you for a few days after the surgery.
During your recovery period, we suggest wearing a compression garment on the surgical areas and changing your sitting position for a few days. It is important to avoid applying any additional pressure to the buttock region. Most patients can generally engage in light activity after a few days and return to work after about a week.
Your Brazilian butt lift will take place with board-certified surgeon Dr. Kris Day in our Bellevue-accredited surgery center. Prior to the surgery, your anesthesiologist will administer a general anesthetic to put you into a deep sleep. Dr. Day will then begin the procedure. First, he grafts the fat from your transfer sites and processes them. He then transfers the grafted fat to your buttocks through a thin tube known as a cannula. Your BBL surgery will generally take around 3 to 4 hours and is considered an outpatient procedure.
At Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery, Dr. Day is proud to provide patients with ultrasound-assisted Brazilian butt lifts. This technique allows him to visualize the cannula in his patient’s skin tissues and meticulously track the injection process, ensuring it never goes too deep. As with all his other procedures, when performing Brazilian butt lifts, patient safety is Dr. Days’ primary concern. This ultrasound device allows for the highest level of safety and patient care.
Here at Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery in Bellevue, board-certified surgeon Dr. Kris Day offers three different Brazilian butt lift options depending on his patient’s body type and aesthetic preferences. Whether you want a more subtle enhancement that prioritizes symmetry or a dramatic change for maximum volume, Dr. Day is here to provide you with the exact results you desire.

A non-surgical BBL is when Dr. Day injects filler into your buttocks. While these results are temporary, you will still experience a more lifted voluminous behind for a temporary period of time. This is great for patients unsure if they want to undergo BBL surgery, do not have enough excess fat deposits, or simply want to try out having a larger behind.

There are possible risks that come with a BBL surgery, such as infection, swelling, bruising, bleeding, asymmetry, and fat embolisms. Dr. Kris Day does everything in his power to ensure that your surgery is extremely safe and that no complications arise.
A BBL here at Pacific Sound Plastic Surgery in Bellevue typically takes 3 to 4 hours. It is performed as an outpatient under general anesthesia, so you are free to go home once the procedure is finished, and we provide you with aftercare instructions.
A BBL offers semi-permanent results. Due to the natural fat transfers of the body, it is impossible for a BBL to last forever, however, with quality maintenance, it can last upwards of 5-10 years.
The difference between a BBL and butt implants is that a BBL does not use implants of any kind. This procedure involves transferring one’s own fat deposits from various areas of the body into the buttocks for semi-permanent results.
Thankfully, the pain experienced after a Brazilian butt lift is mild to moderate and can be managed with over-the-counter medication. You will probably experience some level of discomfort sitting or lying down for a few days.
