To start, your plastic surgeon Dr. Kris Day will apply a topical numbing cream that will allow for optimal safety and comfort. Then, he’ll use a cannula, a round-tipped, blunt tool instead of a needle to administer the dermal filler in the ideal areas. This will reduce the risk of bruising and swelling and allow for beautiful, natural results in no time. The entire procedure will take around 20-30 minutes.
Unlike many other anti-aging treatments that involve surgery, dermal fillers come with virtually no downtime. If you do experience side effects like redness, bruising, and swelling at the injection sites, rest assured they should quickly resolve on their own. You may resume your everyday activities right after you receive the dermal fillers. We do recommend that you avoid sun exposure for up to 24 hours after the procedure.

There is no ideal age for dermal filler treatment. While some patients visit us in their 20s, others wait until they’re older and in their 50s or 60s.
